Happy Christmas!

The weather has really improved! Today we had a great trip over to the Prince's Island, the largest island, Buyukada. We took a fayton (horse and carriage) around the island, then listened to some choral music and a brass quintet at the Catholic Church on the island. I was going to upload a photo of our fayton driver, but in the end I decided I would have to include a photo taken during the Solemn Mass at the Cathedral of St Anthony of Padua on Istiklal Caddesi. It was such a beautiful, joyful Mass, with a great choir and amazing singing of the Turkish Eucharistic prayer. So (and I know as it's a backblip it's a bit late now!) Happy Christmas!
