Water Everywhere!

After a night of heavy rain, this is what we woke-up to! At least some of us were enjoying ourselves!

An early Blip today as I had problems uploading my entry for Monday and I am doing the two entries together. We have had a lot of rain since Friday and all the small dams on our estate are overflowing. I can imagine that at the dam wall the water output must look quite spectacular as I am sure all the gates are open. We may have to go and take a look later on today.

It is another public holiday in South Africa. A bonus holiday because Christmas fell on a Sunday. Have you ever heard of such nonesense?

I wonder what rainy day activities we can think of to keep us entertained ?

EDIT: I changed the photo after son S asked me to come and take more shots of him playing with Gia. I had originally wanted to capture reflections in the water and then Gia started posing as usual. This new photo shows the excess water, Gia enjoying herself AND a great reflection of the action!
If you look closely you may notice a reflection of Shakira (our cat) upside down near the gate lamp!
