Jaggy!

There are a lot of these big Scotch Thistles growing around the wilder bits of our garden.

I know they are jaggy and in most gardens they are considered a weed but, honestly in a location like ours where most things that dare to grow above 30cm tall get there heads bashed down by the wind for being so cheeky... you have to respect something so tough.

And I happen to think they are beautiful.


Not everyone thinks the same. When looking for a link I noticed that in America they are considered a noxious invasive weed. Probably rightly so, I can think of a lot of non native plants here that are the same.
