Lismore and BLARNEY! :D
Unique day again ahead :D
We woke up quite early to get some Irish breakfast (toast, cereals, coffee, sausages, eggs, bacon and coffee at least, a lot of stuff! light nice one :)) and to get the car back so we could continue. It was a nice B&B still. Funny part was the lady who was making the breakfast, she was the one who we saw at the downstair pub last evening and she couldn't have looked more hangovered :D haha! but well cooked breakfast anyways!
so we got the car back, didn't need to pay for the night as Paddy tricked us, we greeted our moving home with joy and continued the trip. We were so early that the sun was waking up still when we left. The guy who was working at the parking hall recommended Lismore us, as it is some beautiful heritage town, so we decided that this would be a castle day and headed to Lismore instead of Dungarvan and I think it was a good decision.
Here you can see that we arrived to Lismore happily. And fast, cause Ireland is so small that wherever you go, it's never more than 30km away haha :D really. the most was I guess 150 that we drove without stops :D greatness! So yep, we got to Lismore and found the castle, as you can see it from which ever angle you look from the town, as the town was so damn small again :D but the castle wasn't. However the castle is still in Dukes use and as it was off season it was closed for visitors. Well the whole trip we had been talking how stupid all the signs are. If you put a sign "don't touch, high electricity" of course Sebastian will touch it, as he did. Or if you have a sign like here "no public access beyond this point" of course Tiina will scream let's go there! and then we played the dum german (and finn) (so we didn't understand what the sign said if someone asked) and went to see the castle inside. We saw only the yard and turned around when cars came. Maybe the duke was coming so we didn't want to disturb him :)
Then we went to have the daily walk around the town. There was no harbor, only flooded fields. Then we took the car to go and check some random towers and they were so beautiful! or the surrounding was so amazing. The trees were all green there and the nature was just stunning, like a home for fairies :)) I guess it was, I'm sure it was. Happy moment again :) and the towers were impressive. How did the people build them then so well, they are just perfectly done with such a talent. And they are so big. And beautiful. Well that's about the towers :>
As both of us have been watching How I Met Your Mother way too much and we are both hooked with that program we needed to go to a place called Blarney! :D Sebastian had found that from the map and we just had to visit the place! there was also a castle but there was a fee in and it was almost dark already and it looked like any other castle so we decided to just see it outside and go around the town of Blarney instead :p We saw the biggest Irish shop in the world and some mill and the whole town of Blarney :) Blarney. Really :D who gives a name like that for a town. funny.
But after Blarney we just kind of headed back to Tralee through Killarney and other places.. we drove 70km/h in a group for most of the time :) I lost my nerves for Pendulum and drumbass music, otherwise it was good. I started to feel a bit sad at the end because I knew Sebastian had a flight back home tomorrow day and most of the people in Tralee had left already like baby and Maikki and Johannes.. but it wasn't time to be sad yet so it was still time for some bad jokes and stories etc.
But in general everything went so well! :)) Despite of the fact that it was the slowest Finn that you can find from Ireland/Finland and the German efficiency that were traveling together, so total opposites and there was no bad feelings for neither of us, we both enjoyed every minute of the trip :) jeee, great us! well done!
That was definitely one of the greatest adventures that I had in Ireland. And despite I already wrote a whole book here of stories I feel like I missed so many stories.. well, they will stay in my mind and I will tell those later then :) But it was so great.
When we got to Tralee we made some food together with Marcin, drank some beer, went through what had happened on the road and in Tralee for the past few days and felt so sleepy again after an amazing day :) I can't thank Sebastian enough for taking me with him, it was just so great :) happy happy Tiina again!
