to my bones

Burren and Harold with some happiness! :)

My favourite day again!

We woke up when the church bells were ringing and I decided to call Salla, my dear cousin :)) to wake her up and ask if she could recommend some places from Dundalk as she was living there few years ago and I wanted to know where she had been living :p It was so nice to hear her voice first thing in the morning "hyvää huomenta, on aika herätä, aurinko on jo ylhäällä" :DD

up we got then, out from the car, brushing the teeth and first challenge to find some fresh coffee so the day could start. And we found it and after that noticed that the whole town was sleeping still. No one was going to church, I guess the bells were ringing like snooze all the time and even the seagulls were sleeping at the sea! :D But it was a warm day with good weather so we decided to follow the advices from the cute old irish man from the O`Loclanns pub and left to search the Burren walk. We found it pretty easily. Or at least some walk that went near the mountains and had great landscapes so it was great :) the sun was shining so brightly and soon we got a friend! Harold the dog who was the first Irish dog who got excited of people :D first when he saw us he started to wave the tail and as I started to speak with him he was so happy giving paw, jumping and staying close aaw <3 My heart melted. When we asked what was his name he was yawning and it sounded like "Haaroolld" so we knew that his name was Harold :D Harold was the guide for us as he followed us and showed us almost the whole way through the Burren walk :D he was so cute, I liked him so much but I'm sure someone at home loved him even more so we needed to leave Harold before going back to town. Harold was also one of my happy moments :)

And funny enough, we found a sign, "Happiness is this way" :)) that was the greatest cause it just pointed to Harolds way :D Before we got to the town we of course decided to take the weirdest and smallest path back :D so we were going through fields, flooded fields, bushes and forrests and it was an adventure again, so great :D and we made it!

When getting back to the car and getting some more coffee we headed deeper in to the Burren and went to see Poulnabrone. Happy moment again! It was raining but when we got there the sun came up and the place was just so beautiful :) though also a bit creepy as the place is the one that people used to use for burrying people. But still, Burren was beautiful with all the stones it has in there :) aaand the trip continued then after few other stones, and one tree!

we went through Corofin again :D but continued tooo Gort this time to have some fish and chips. And it was actually quite big place, nice one :) and then it was dark again. As we were still in the same page with the map book we decided to drive quite near to Dublin so that we would have enough time to see even half of it what we planned :D Dundalk we needed to skip :( we went around Mullingar as we lost the road with the signs and decided to have some more coffee to find the way :D so on that day we went from west coast to east coast. And we went to a place that was signed in the map as "Crazy Corner" but there was no signs! I guess some other tourists had stolen those already :D So Boston has signs but not Crazy Corner.. but we were there anyways, went around, saw some flashing reindeers and Christmas trees and got enough of it so we continued :D

We wanted to stay somewhere near Tara to go around it in the morning so we went to Ennistown, didn't find anything from there, continued to Kilmessan didn't find anything from there either (again, we found the smallest places from Ireland) parked the car there anyway and stayed there. It was already quite late and a lot of walking and driving around so we made some plans for next days, played some "ristinolla" with the fog on the roof of the car and got some sleep.

So a lot of small places, with amazing landscapes and good company. Me like.

p.s.english language is damn annoying. they have so many words that remind of each other when talking and you easily use and mix them accidentally :D like barking - parking, annual - animal, beer - bear - beard etc. oh maan!
