Bomble at Christmas
Just as I was taking a break from tv, the coal fire and the last glass of champagne this evening, the skype sound was heard on Helena's Macbook. Her sister Tanya was calling her from their home in Bahrain.
I already had my camera ready so I quickly leaned over Helena's shoulder and told Tanya that she had been blipped as she saw me and groaned, with her youngest daughter Immy leaning on her shoulder.
We have had a long and lovely day together, with Bomble somewhat bemused by the rather unusual pattern of events to the day. He really didn't have much time to catch up on his sleep, which usually occupies most of the daylight hours. Helena cooked a wonderful meal which she should be proud of and Bomble had a bit of poultry too. We didn't of course share any alcohol with him, though I am sure he would be up for it if it meant he could join in any fun and games.
Whilst we had a second round of present sharing, bomble sat in front of the fire and looked on rather in a rather bemused fashion. I held the camera near the ground and focussed remotely and now I've decided this is my best shot for today.
Sorry, Tanya! We will have to try a better way of blip meeting (my picture was crap!). Tanya started blipping a couple of months ago and I think she is enjoying it. She has even been given a new camera, so what is not to enjoy.
ps
As I am writing this I can still hear them downstairs, chattering away and laughing gleefully. Helena is just taking Tanya to see the Christmas tree which you can see here, sort of, behind Bomble.
