Christmas 11 - Cake day at work

Today, as it was Christmas eve, we had a cake day at work. Everybody brought cake, so we had lots of cake in the staff room! There was so much cake, you couldn't even see the table! In this picture you have a decorated chocolate cookie on top of the carrot cake I made for the occasion! I had so much cake for lunch that I couldn't move for the next few hours!

It was rather busy for Christmas eve. It was a Saturday, I suppose, but it was much quieter than a normal Saturday! Nothing much of interest happening at work really. After work, I had a couple of drams (Glendronach 1995 single cask, Aberlour A'bunadh and Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban) and then went with a couple of workmates to the pub for a pint (literally just the one), just to celebrate Christmas eve!

Back home now and getting ready for tomorrow. I'll have something to eat and then I'll finish decorating my friends' cake! I'm so really looking forward to it! My wonderful friends kevs and Alex are inviting me to The Scotsman in Edinburgh for the Christmas meal!! Can't wait and I'm really looking forward to seeing them, since I haven't seen the for quite a while!
