Corsican hellebore

I went into the garden to see if there were any Christmas roses (Hellebore niger) in flower but not even a bud.
However, these ones were looking very fine so they're today's offering.
(There was a nice sky over the office when I arrived this morning and lovely colours at sunset when going up to church to do more painting but I'd already decided on one of the garden pics)
