Christmas light

Vile weather on the last day before Christmas properly begins. I am not anti the festival, despite the regular "humbug" that gets thrown my way. But I am wary of the unrestrained commercialism, the heightened expectations and the familial tension. I am also chilled by phrases such as "Christmas Special" or "Festive Fun." Decorations should be minimal, food and drink should be good 365 and who needs an excuse for a party?
