The Shortest Day

The Winter Solstice took place at 5.30 am this morning, making today the shortest day. And, fittingly, it's a lovely sunny one here in deepest Hampshire.

Pagans believe that Yule is the time when the sun is reborn and light and new life return to the earth, a time when the accepted order of things is challenged with mirth and laughter.

Sounds good to me :)
