Angel on Lake Wakitipu

My niece, E, is a total angel; so it was quite fitting at lunchtime in Queenstown, that she should sprout a pair of wings.

After a windy (of the hairpin bend variety) drive, we arrived in Queenstown. We grabbed some lunch, and then headed up the hill on the Gondola.

There was a hairy moment, when the car stopped and we were swinging in mid-air for around ten minutes, not quite knowing what was going on.

The bonus of it was that we saw a girl do a bungee jump, right on top of us. E found her in the gift shop afterwards and got her email address so that we can send her the photo I took of her mid-flight.

The kids went on the Luge, and had a great time.

Home now to a BBQ and a bottle of bubbly.

We're all pretty tired after a hot and busy day.

I'm loving being with my family. :)
