Earth colours
Making a warming chorizo, pumpkin and haricot bean stew this morning reminded me of how much I love cooking in earthenware - as soon as it starts to heat up on the hob or in the oven the dish gives out a familiar smell which I'm sure adds to the flavour of the food cooked in it. This variety of sizes and colours, mostly chipped and worn and some slightly cracked, are used almost every day. They're made either locally or just over the border in Catalunya and provide a blip link today as they're often sold with the bowl in Ceridwen's blip, one which I think is almost identical to one of my early blips. And another blip link is that the pumpkin in my stew today is one grown from seeds sent to me by dis...dat...d'udda - isn't Blip an amazing place?
