A Guid Glesgae Welcome
Liseykins had the entire weekend fully organised. After a slow start to the day, we headed out and she treated me to breakfast at Caio's, a warm and welcoming Italien restaurant ,popular with visitors and locals alike.Lisey had Eggs Benadict, while I settled for a full and extremely filling traditional Scottish breakfast, complete with tattie scone, my favourite! Stuffed to the gunnels. we made our way into town to do some Xmas shopping.
Early evening, we arrived at the Tron Theatre to see this years panto,a classic from the Tron archives, renamed 'Mister Merlin - a pure magic panto.' It was absolutely hilarious and by far the best one I have seen since the last one at the Tron two years ago!(and I do consider myself to be a bit of a panto connoisseur)They really know how to put on a traditional pantomime. It is an originnal storlyline, scripted in Parliamo Glasgow. The Glaswegian audience certainly head out to enjoy their evening. The adults at some points were participating more than the children! What an atmosphere. We even had two power cuts mid show and the cast managed to keep the audience amused until the sound and lighting were restored.Took me back to the days of Francie and Josie performing in the Kings theatre when I was child. 'PURE DEAD BRILLIANT!!'
This is a photograph of one of the giant 'futuristic' reindeer in Argyle Street.
No time to tarry,as I have two more Blips to upload this evening and after such a hectic weekend, this old gal could really do with an early night!!
