Off to Birmingham to day to collect our eldest, Philip, in time for Xmas. Set out quite early to find the roads very icy and within ten miles had already encountered two accidents caused by the ice. One had blocked the road I was on when a car skidded and the car following had t-boned it. I certainly felt the car slip on one bend in particular but resisted braking as that would have shot me off the road and into the ditch.

This Ford Mustang convertible was on the M6 this morning, no doubt, from the white ribbon, it was on it's way to a wedding.
