Scorradale

I walked up Scorradale road then up a track to the top of Gruf Hill. Great skies as bands of snow came down from the north...not nice feathery snowflakes, though, but more like hail. A few red grouse about but no sign of the gyr falcon spotted here last week.

I went back down and up the track to the top of Hill of Midland where I saw a buzzard with two red wingtags. Unusual to see such a common bird with tags; I'll have look into it.

In continued over to Houton Head, then caught the bus to Kirkwall from Houton.
