The Captain

This is Tom, Captain Tom.
He is the man behind Fat Hippy Records, the finest independent record label around.

He and his stable of acts have had a hugely successful year setting them up nicely for 2012, which may just be the most exciting year in Fat Hippy's history.

A selfless, genuine, straight up type of guy, Tom is an anomaly in the record industry. Someone who cares more about the artist involved and the quality of the end product rather than profits and numbers. That attitude has served him exceptionally well through the years and will stand him in good stead as he brings the label through the next 12 months and onto it's next exciting chapter.

Tom graciously joined me in the station tonight for some sounds and stories from the Fat Hippy back catalogue. What a top bloke!!
