Pampas grass

When we moved in, in September, the back garden boasted an unattractive clump of half dead spikey leaves. I was surprised when the feathery spikes of pampas grass appeared, well into autumn.

The poor things are now getting bedraggled. Snow arrived during the night, and weighed down the plumes.
