Syndicat

This building in the square next to the church, is an unusual example of an architectural style not common in Catalonia, it has elements of sea shells , arches and columns. If anyone knows what the style represents I would love to know.

The Syndicat restaurant has had a checkered career. In the years we have been in Serinya it has had at least five owners, and has swung from village bistro to gourmet restaurant. The current owners are trying to broaden the appeal and are offering a very good menu at a fair price.

In the spring they intend to expand into the square and serve al fresco, hope it works and we can have at least one venue for outside dining in Serinya.
