It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Every year there's at least one campaign for rediscovering the true meaning of Christmas and distancing ourselves from all this commercialism.

I on the other hand, love it. Give me lights, decorations, lawn ornaments, 24 hour holiday radio stations, Charlie Brown reruns...I want it all.

That's why seeing houses like this one warm me to the very core. Face it, we're at the very beginning of yet another long, cold, bitter winter. So if you want to deck the halls and go Christmas crazy for a few weeks of hope and happiness, you go right ahead.

Just last week at work I was prepping food in the kitchen and enjoying "Feed the World" and readying myself for Boy George's solo when a coworker walked in and said "I HATE Christmas music." I said, "WELL I LOVE IT."

But in my mind I wished a thousand damning hexes on his mortal soul.
