one of the truly amazing things about nature - is that there is always something new; a new perspective... a new view... a new opportunity...

no matter how many times i look at my christmas cactus plants - i never grow tired of what i see... every blossom appears different - offers a slightly varied coloration from the others and gives fun alternatives to the eye if you keep your mind open... today - i glanced at this new bud and envisioned a torpedo... ready to to be focused on its target and deployed; i couldn't help thinking about the many games my brothers and i used to play as kids to keep ourselves entertained - sometimes battle games - chasing each other around the yard with water guns or balloons. funny the little things that evoke memories - and in turn - bring about...
