Whadda ya mean "Its not straight"!

Rona here is getting in her two cents worth.
Our old table is designed for a maximun of six with comfort and eight at a squeeze. This was ok when it was just the five of us plus grandparents. However now we are up to ten so more elbow room at the table is urgently needed. A visit to the local DIY store provided some sheets of good old MDF and I settled down to assemble a tabletop 6 foot by four (that's in old money) which sits on top of the existing one and provides the required amount of elbow room to safely swing a knife and fork.
