Birthday Flowers

These lovely flowers were received today from my son and his family. They live so far away from me but never miss sending me flowers for any special occasion.

It was funny today. I was taking to my son on the phone when the door bell rang. There was a man with a beautiful bunch of flowers. I knew they were from my son and his family. Although the cards said lovely words there were no names attached. I thanked my son, told him they were beautiful and continued chatting for a bit.

About an hour later the door bell rang again and there was a lady with a huge bunch of flowers. The card was clearly signed from my son and his family. Oh, my gosh!! who were the first flowers from. Although there was no names on the first bunch, the card indicated they were from my son and family.

I rang him back and said ...guess what another bunch arrived ...

He laughed and told the story that he had organised to send the flowers and rang my daughter-in-law to tell her he had sent them when she told him that she had sent flowers to me too ...hence the two bunches.

They are beautiful but as the young family are moving into a new house in the next week or so, they can hardly afford one bunch let alone two.

I love them both!!
