Meet up with the Chaikins

Blip provides many greats things one of which being those folks we form closer relationships with. Know that Artist Annie and husband Arvin live in Belingham I prearranged to meet them for breakfast there and have my friend meet them both. I thought they were be far better able to introduce her to the are there and answer questions for her. They were both so great and helpful! We all had a lovely time talking as well as a delightful breakfast at the Little Cheerful Kitchen. Afterwards since Ann needed to take their car in to the shop we took Arvin home. He graciously invited us in and what a time we had!! He shared with us his amazing fountain pen collection----and I do meant amazing. We also saw some of his award winning photographs and Ann's paintings and wonderful studio. It was like walking through a grand museum with the many collections they have displayed. Topping it off was having Arvin pull out his prize 1880's 22 target shooting rifle embellished with beautiful wood . He gave us a mini demonstration of the pose he would use for target shooting only! What a fantastic time and we were thoroughly entertained as well so thank you both Arvin and Ann for your warm hospitality!

We drove back down to Bellvue and home via Chuckanut drive and saw more lovely views than lovely farm lands.
