Tree Surgeon At Work

I dug out my Christmas tree this morning to set up and decorate only to find that the tree seems to be on life support.

Seeing that many of the branches were too loose to come up into position I went to an old pair of sneakers and pulled off the laces.

A few minutes of tree surgery later and this was the result of the finished project. The tree still lists to one side and the top is still way too long to put anything on it without it falling off. But in the end, it is mine.

I will enjoy it a great deal this season but I think its odyssey is over.

I was supposed to go to Phoenix today to visit the Heard Museum, dinner and a reception with DNC Chair and Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz. But I am feeling a bit under the weather so I had to cancel on my friend. I didn't think I could handle the five hour round trip and a full day out. I had to pay for that reception in advance, so that bites. Oh, well...
