Dawn (Scotland, not French!)

After the storm, a beautiful dawn. What an odd day, weather-wise this has been.
No damage to our property yesterday but plenty of minor "events" about; fences down, greenhouses damaged, shed & garage roofs stripped, etc.
We had our usual morning tour of the woods and a large number of trees had been knocked over but none of the major paths blocked.
This afternoon we went up to visit Mag's mum and discovered a couple of inches of snow lying! Oddly, the snow only started a couple of miles from her house and we could clearly see green fields with zero snow round about. So strange!
Back up home in brilliant sunshine all the way but bl**dy cold! It is going to freeze tonight.
