Across Hoy Sound

The winds are still high here. I went along to Stromness and walked along the shore past Ness Point. There is a campsite there and about 100m of fence had been destroyed by the winds which now seemed to be mainly NE so there was some shelter from the lie of the land, but then they swung round to NW and walking was tougher. It was easy to drop below the low cliffs, though, for shelter. Not really conditions for watching birds. I saw a couple of snow buntings, some purple sandpipers etc., but the walk was really to look for this kind of shot.
