Ship

The morning weather was horrendous. I was supposed to volunteer with the RSPB removing invasive Montbretia from a reserve, but it was cancelled.

It cleared up a bit and I went a short walk about the town and down to the seafront. This enormous ship is the OIG Giant II. It is an 18,118 tonne dock ship. It is here to instal elements of a test tide turbine in Orkney waters.
