A winter's tale.

It's been a mixture of sleety rain and sunny spells here today, but we went out for lunch with friends a few miles further along the valley side today and we were greeted by snow. It's amazing how quickly this happens here, especially when you travel west, as we did. The valley eventually becomes home to the Snake Pass which crosses the Pennines between Sheffield and Glossop and a sign that winter is here is when this road is "passable with care" or often closed altogether.
