The Challenge Day 12 / 30
In preparation for the Lunar Eclipse
The Total Lunar Eclipse on December 10, 2011 will be visible in its entirety from all of Australia and New Zealand, and Asia. For North Americans, the eclipse is in progress as the Moon sets, while observers in Europe and Africa will miss the early stages of the eclipse as they will be in progress as the Moon rises. South America misses this eclipse entirely.
This eclipse is quite a short one, with totality lasting 51 minutes.
I seem to always be running late these days. Would've ended up with a gap for Dec., good thing I looked up before leaving for the coast. The lunar eclipse should be good tomorrow. I just hope i'll have enough energy to stay up for it.
Apologies for the quality of the image and the blotches. This was the quickest 3-shot blip i've done so far. Pretty much shoot and go! :)
