Kitchen Disco

This evening the new 'Kitchen Disco' tradition was sealed with the polishing off of, the long time redundant, rotating glitter ball!

Since the installment of the new spacious kitchen and the all singing and all dancing squeezebox music system, the 'Kitchen Disco' has organically emerged and now features on an almost daily basis.

The girls like it and Andy and I love it! We get to offload our much loved tunage to our captive offspring, encouraging them to dance and sing along, like it was normal for a 1 and 4 year old to love Joy Division.. More often than not however, Eve (the 4 year old) will indulge us by agreeing that AC/DC or the Pixies are fantastic and as a payoff , insist on listening to Abba or Queen or the Beastie Boys on repeat for the last few minutes (seems like hour).

I dread to think what it will be like when they both get big enough to have their own real opinions on what should be played, it's bad enough with me and Andy vying for air space. All in the name of fun though, and hopefully the Kitchen Disco will uphold as a enduring Watson tradition!
