Must Be My Lucky Day

I was the designated dog walker again today, since P plays cross-country (park) petanque with some of his friends on Tuesday mornings. Unlike yesterday's glorious sunshine, today was dull, dull, dull. Walking through the neighborhood adjacent to ours, I managed to get a whole series of dull, dull, dull photos of pine cones, moss growing on a rock, dead roses, and so on.

As Miss Annie and I returned to our cul-de-sac, I spotted a man on our neighbor's roof and wondered what was going on -- was he a burgular? And then I saw the sign on his trailer, and I knew I was in luck, because that sign would make a interesting blip, and P wasn't there to beat me to it!

James and Andrea Rowe own Earth First Lawn Care, providing "eco friendly lawn care solutions... an effective combination of techniques and products combining old Mother Earth wisdom with modern science to create lasting, beautiful, and safe effects." There's less call for lawn services during the holiday season, so they decided to offer holiday lighting services -- designing, supplying, hanging, removing, and storing -- as well.

I applaud James and Andrea for their business acumen, environmental awards, and desire "to be the leader not only in our community of Whatcom County but also a leader in the emerging green economy nation-wide." It's encouraging to see people like them in the business world, and I wish them every success.
