Christmas roses?

Despite the frost snow and rain, this little bush planted by Marshall some seven years ago, continues to flower long after everything else has died back.
We see it and we are reminded of him. He towers above us now at six foot two, and at sixteen is considering his future as he studies for his o'levels.
We've missed his visit this year, a break for the first time in twelve years. Mind you the year is not over yet, and he may well find his way here before the 31st!! He is after all very tall and very dark and therefore a very appropriate first foot!
Who knows what the new year will bring?
