Aye Spy

Whose feet are these?

My little four-legged friend came to stay today - for almost a month! While his "mum" is in sunnier and warmer climes, we shall have fun in the snow, enjoying favourite walks and lots of cuddles.

It has been a little while since he was actually staying here, so I was thinking carefully about what to take when we were getting ready for our walk this afternoon - lead, of course; extension lead, just in case; whistle, off on the scent; titbits, come hither; minibix, good boy, well done; towel, muddy paws; earmuffs for me, essential, and keys. All very exciting!

Arriving at the car park at the start of the walk, I was surprised to find no other cars there. The road up to it had been well cleared of snow. We set off, heading upwards, into the trees and along the paths, climbing gently. Just as I was thinking how beautiful everything was, yes, you've guessed, I realised I had forgotten my camera!

Of course we walked on and I kept so many stunning images in my mind's eye. The mountains out to the west were beautiful. Bruce enjoyed foraging, coming up covered in snow, collecting little snowballs on his legs and undercarriage.

Back home, he was playing in the garden while I put out some bird seed for our feathered friends. Having missed the opportunity on the walk, I blipped him just before he came indoors.
