Advent Calendars

This was sent out to me from home the other day! One of the best surprises!

I love my grandmother's one from my childhood - which she still uses and must be at least 20 odd years old. No chocolate, no fancy images or Disney characters. Just a simple nativity scene. But in one corner there is a green barrel which was the 15th of Dec and when opened up had Santa reminding you it was only 10 more sleeps till Christmas.
That would make me so excited as a child.

I still love advent calendars though they seem to remind me more of how quickly time flies by over this period.

Though nowadays i get a little bit excited about having an excuse to eat some more chocolate....
