In Dulce Jubilo

On the 30th November my wife presented me with a chocolate advent calendar and advised me she wouldn't be having one as she was going to go on a diet until Christmas.

I pointed out that she didn't need to go on a diet (point) but she was adamant about it.

So, Dilemma, she will be expecting an advent calendar on 1st December, but without chocolate.

I tried to purchase a traditional advent calendar from Barnsley, sadly i was asking sixteen year old weekend girls, and i could tell from the expression on their collective faces, that they didn't believe advent calendars had ever been sold without chocolate.

I tried at the Kingdom hall of Jehovah's Witness, they sold advent calendars, but behind each door it just said " You're all Wrong"

So, a home made one had to be created at 1'30 in the morning whilst watching a programme about the Incas using various magazines scattered around the house....radio times, Red magazine,Argos catalogue to name a few...

and being slightly inebriated when i did it, i have no idea whats behind any door...hope at least one of them has something to do with Christmas!
