Bird in flight

This is a photo from the Birds in Flight photo worksphop I attended today. I've never tried photographing birds before and the only reason why I decided to attend the workshop was to learn a new skill. I never expected that I would have so much fun despite the sore fingers and arm after about half an hour of shooting! My borrowed lens was a thing of pure joy and beauty but one heavy monster! I think I know what to ask Santa next year for Christmas! :)

Blond moment: I drove about three quarters of an hour early today to attend a kids Christmas party as a volunteer photographer. Arrived in Waterworld eager and excited only to find out that the Christmas party was not today but tomorrow! Stupid me I didn't bother to read the invite or even look at the entry pass they sent me early this week. Aaahhhhhahahahahhaha! What an ijit as my Irish roommie would definitely say! Geez, I really need to get my head out of the clouds with the birds i'm shooting! Lol!

The day still ended well as i'm quite happy with my first try of doing bird photography. Alas, I don't have the right lens to get seriously into it. Oh well, maybe next year. :)
