Teacher training day

Another day off for no.1 son.

We were a bit house-bound in the morning waiting for a courier to collect a parcel so I (foolishly) asked him what he wanted to do in the afternoon. This is him in the swing at the recently refurbished 'train park'. Just after this shot he fell over in the mud and his gloves were so soggy he had to take them off. About 10 minutes after this shot he was wearing my gloves. Brilliant.

Other delightful aspects of the day include (but are not limited to):

-letting the kids choose lollies in tesco when they'd been good, having applied some serious concentration to no.1's desire to make the right choice I turn around to find the younger and larger rascal is already half way through a peppa pig lolly, foil and all. There then ensued a minor choking incident and I had to pay for some foil remnants.
-charming 3 cardboard boxes out of the fruit and veg section at tesco, only to find I can't carry 3 boxes and hold 2 childrens' hands on the way home. No.1 son was adamant he could manage all 3! Wished I had the camera to capture him determindedly carrying one of them home, "it's actually quite heavy mummy". Bless him.
