Let there be .... light

Yes, managed a good night's sleep last night, probably due to a decent meal after Venture Scotland.

Today - well more of the same:

Ian finished painting the windows but I still have to keep the kitchen one open to dry, makes it very chilly
Tom and Jacky put the machines back and then had to come back as they hadn't tightened something properly and the washing machine leaked. Now fixed and they did manage to move the table into the kitchen without taking the door off.
the builders asked for the electric cable
Nick and Tom discussed ventilation shafts and solved a problem
Andy put up the lights but then we discovered bits were missing from the (expensive) Italian one for the dining area. I need to follow this up.

The blip is the hall light maybe a bit 'disco' but I'm sure I'll come to love it and better than a paper shade.

The flat is even more of a tip than before and things are a'where.

I planned to start getting things to back to 'normal' but I checked my e-mails and there was a distressing one. I was about to text M asking for a call when M called - shows we're still in sync, and we spoke for nearly 2 hours. Then I spent another 2 hours composing an email, interrupted by (another) Tom from the next stair. We spent 2 hours talking and talking and talking so the email wasn't sent but another one was and at 8.30 (p.m.) I realised I had had no breakfast, no lunch and there was no food in the house. TG for Margiotta.

I'm not happy. I so wish things were different. Tomorrow after a good night's sleep, I will sort the flat. Why doesn't it seem like mine? Tomorrow it will be better.

There was another Molly 'incident' today. No details, but suffice to say I had to wash her bed, yet again. She clearly doesn't like all this upset either.
