Bye bye Centre Parcs

Last Day of our Centre Parcs holiday

Wow - that holiday went quickly! Ethan obviously wanted to make the most of our last day as he was up at about 6.30am whilst Eden slept on for longer. We had to be out of our villa by 10am - 5 minutes prior to that the cleaners were hanging around outside waiting to get in!

After packing up the car we had planned to stay on site to go bowling, but they hadn't got any lanes free for a while. So we let the kids play in one of the soft play areas for a bit, then went for an early lunch at the Pancake House, before leaving Centre Parcs.

We had hoped to visit Brougham Castle on the way home but when we got there, we discovered it's only open at weekends at this time of year.

Instead, we headed up the M6 / M74 and stopped off at New Lanark. When it was time to leave, we thought we might have to stay a lot longer as our car had a flat battery! However, with the help of Mr Foreveryoungs jump leads we were soon all on the way home again.

When we were nearly home I said to Ethan "we're nearly back now - are you excited about seeing our pussy cats"? He then kept saying "Cleo, Obi, Zoe, Leia" over and over until we pulled in the driveway! Good to know he hadn't forgotten them during our time away!
