A bit of culture

Today I went to Newcastle - to have lunch with a friend and we decided to take in the Turner Prize exhibition at the Baltic. Luckily we joined a short informative talk which explained about the various installations. The Baltic is a fantastic asset to the Newcastle/Gateshead Quayside but I couldn't help remembering my late Gran's comments when it first opened nearly 10 years ago "for all that money they spent they could have put some carpet on the stairs and a few more things in it!"
