Striking a pose

Tough choice today. I went for a walk along the valley and saw lots of fungi, but this heron was determined to have its photo taken. It shadowed me pretty much all the way along, posing first bankside, then in the water, then in a tree. Other birds sighted include grey wagtail, wren, jackdaw, robin, long tailed tits and nuthatch.
I'm leading a fungus foray down there in mid-January, and if there are 25% of the fungi I saw today, it will be a good result - but I suppose anything could happen between now and then weatherwise.
