Oil Tanker, Bantry Bay
Took a lovely walk today with Rachel, who is on great form since leaving school. This enormous oil tanker was being escorted up the deep waters of Bantry Bay, by two tugs, to the oil storage tanks on Whiddy Island. You can get a bit of an idea of the scale of this thing, looking at the cottages on Beara peninsula.
Back from an evening of music, dancing and singing this evening, so I'm exhausted and will catch up with comments tomorrow. Just like to say a big thank you for the hearts and stars for yesterday's blip of John's farm, my first time on the spotlight page, I was really delighted.
