Purple Magpie

By PurpleMagpie

Nobody knows the trouble I've seen.

I went into Walsall town centre with my sister in law to watch the Mercian Regiments homecoming march.

It was so moving. We shed a tear as the band started up and clapped and clapped.

I took loads of pictures but this one stuck out for me. It reminds me of the song "Nobody knows the troubles I've seen"

Nobody knows the trouble I've seen
Nobody knows my sorrow
Nobody knows the trouble I've seen
Glory hallelujah!
Sometimes I'm up, sometimes I'm down
Oh, yes, Lord
Sometimes I'm almost to the ground
Oh, yes, Lord
Although you see me going 'long so
Oh, yes, Lord
I have my trials here below
Oh, yes, Lord
If you get there before I do
Oh, yes, Lord
Tell all-a my friends I'm coming too
Oh, yes, Lord

I am glad that all made it home safe and I am glad I was there to clap.
