Flood

Well, like much of Central Scotland and other parts of the country we have had a lot of rain in the last 24hrs.

The ground is so wet that the excess water is not able to drain away. The river across the road from our house has also burst it's banks. On average, the river bursts a couple of times a year so it is not something new however, today it is taking a long time for the water to recede. It has moved back very slightly in the last hour or so. Fingers crossed that the rain eases as the day progresses as it could rise again with the high tide this evening.

School buses have been cancelled because the roads around us have all been badly flooded but, as you can see, village life continues the best it can.
