Spot The Difference

Stormy weather yesterday and today. Far too wet and wild for outdoor images. Time to batten down the hatches and stay indoors so it's time also to get out the knitting pins and wool during the long winter nights that lie in wait for us. Makes watching telly that bit more endurable.

Tonight I started knitting an Aran jacket for a new baby born last week. This pattern has been in the family since 1997 and has been knitted for both grandsons and some grand nieces. So for a wee change I added an extra twist to the pattern. If you have time to look large you should be able to compare the pattern and the knitting to see the added twist.

Large might also be worth a wee look for the detail. I had real trouble trying to get everything in focus, had to change the angle of the camera a fiew times for the focus. The exposure caused a lot of problems as well because of the white Aran baby wool and the darker pattern. Burned out all the detail
in the knitted stitches until I used the bulb setting and a small torch to shed different light across the image.
