Family tradition dictates that father and daughter decorate the Christmas tree. I spend the next couple of days tweaking the ornaments until they are in the right place. Hence one of the reasons I have been given the name Monica. (After the character in Friends)

Hubby is going away soon and therefore it was decided that the Christmas tree should go up just now. He will be away for Christmas and New Year. It is rare that he is away for both and in fact has only missed two of my daughter's thirteen Christmases. Not bad considering the nature of his job dictates that he works away from home.

They do look a little grumpy in the shot although this was not the case at the time but hubby is slowly sliding into mega grumpiness as his departure gets closer.
