New Oven

Can't tell you how exciting this is.

Our first home was a small flat. So small that the best solution in the kitchen was a hob and a microwave/ convection oven. Then we moved to this house. The previous owner had refitted the kitchen six months before we bought the house. The units were good, expensive, but not really our taste. The allocated space for the cooker was the slimest cooker you could find in the shops. They were the cheapest and as a consequence never lasted long and the distribution of heat in the oven was always erratic.

So, now I feel that we have a 'grown up' kitchen. We have picked the appliances we wanted, not what was suitable for the kitchen space we had.

Everyone is out this afternoon so I decided I would bake. I love baking and it was a joy. Made 6 blueberry muffins and 6 raspberry muffins. If you look closely you can see the blueberries bubbling in the heat. They are all the same colour and after I have published this I am off to see if they taste as good as they look.
