made for walking!

One thing that did not get a mention yesterday ( suitable attire in the shooting field ) was bought home today, as I was again one of the picking up team, boots !! Infact boots and gaiters, without these to keep your feet supported and dry life would be very torrid. We have covered miles to day, the dogs are dried off, fed and watered and I hope happily sleeping of thier busy day off. I was at the same spot a fortnight ago when I blip some autumn colour, and said I felt the colour would not improve and most likely be gone on my return today, I was sadly correct most of the leaves have gone from hedge and trees and the mustard strip behind has lost most of its petals. Mind the shortest day is less than a month away, which is some comfort! I am off to rest my feet hope you've all had a good day too :-0
