Thanksgiving
So, while the only person with any American decent present is by all intents and purposes Scottish, we decided to do Thursday in style with a nice big turkey dinner.
Poppy and Maria cooked The main course, which was amazing, followed by a beautifully rich ginger and treacle pudding by Sean. I had originally been planning to contribute with American-style drop-scones but i had a panic about a hand in that's due in tomorrow so I locked myself away in my room to concentrate on that.
Was a bit annoying - I'd been ready to hand it in, but luckily a demonstrator had a look at it before I did - she wasn't too impressed, and gave me about 15 mins of 'constructive criticism' which I then went away on to hurriedly improve upon. Stressful but it'll hopefully be worth it, as the hand in is worth 40% of this module.
However - once that was done I quickly began to unwind, partly helped by Lucus' home made wine. This was amazing. There were two wines - the Elderberry, and the Plum. Each had their charm, each had their bite - we were quickly feeling the effects.
After dinner we played that game where you have to guess who's written on your forehead (I had Penelope Pitstop; haven't ever seen wacky races so I failed pretty badly) and then articulate.
Was a good evening! Went to bed very late, with work tomorrow too though. No lectures though :)
Hit 10,000 views today, well chuffed! I hope to get some nicer landscapes this weekend.
