Allt a Choire Mhor

Overnight the wind howled around the bothy, rattled the door and shook the roof. The rain drummed hard. It was a long, dark night.

The rain of course had filled all the rivers, and I had this thought in the back of my mind all night. This morning I was faced with this. Since I was heading back to civilisation, I gave up trying to keep my feet dry and launched into the water. It was a hairy experience, but I made it across without dunking. The new panniers did the job too!

In the background is the ridge of Creag an Duine which I climbed yesterday in rather nicer conditions.

On the road south, I stopped at the Storehouse for my lunch with the purple rinse brigade.

Yes, that's a rain drop on the lens.
